Your Data & Rights
Last updated October 14, 2026
This page explains where your City Charter data lives, how to delete it, and how to exercise your privacy rights.
Where your data lives
Your charted streets, walk history and settings are stored on your phone only. We don't have accounts or servers that hold them, so there's nothing about your walks for us to look up, export or delete on your behalf.
Delete your data
To delete everything the app holds, delete the app: touch and hold the City Charter icon, tap Remove App, then Delete App. This permanently removes your charted streets and walk history from your phone. It can't be undone, and because nothing is stored on our side, we can't restore it.
To stop location use without deleting anything, open iOS Settings, then City Charter, then Location, and choose Never.
Messages you've sent us
The only personal information we may hold is what you send us through the contact form or the early access form (your email address, your name if given, and your message). To see, correct or delete it, send a message through the contact form at https://citycharterapp.com/support, using the email address you gave us. We'll respond within 30 days.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information we collect and use, to request that we delete or correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't collect precise location information from the app on our servers. You can make a request by contacting us; we may need to confirm it's you using the email address you gave us before.
People in the EU and UK (GDPR)
Brief Post, Inc. is the controller of the personal information we receive through this website. We use support messages to respond to you, on the basis of our legitimate interest in helping you. The app's use of your location on your own phone is based on your consent through your iOS location permission, which you can withdraw at any time.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your information, and to data portability. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
No sale of data
We don't sell, rent or trade personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
